There may be some tension between development and security, but not developing is the greatest insecurity, and stable and rational development is the greatest guarantee of security." Huang Xianhai, Dean of the Institute of National Strategy and Regional Development at Zhejiang University and former Vice President of Zhejiang University, emphasized in his keynote speech that the new generation of Zhejiang entrepreneurs should not only be vigilant about risks when making globalization plans, but also build a solid foundation for security through development.
In response to the current phenomenon of companies rushing to chase cutting-edge technologies, Hu Hongwei, executive chairman of the Zhejiang Business Research Association, reminded the new generation of Zhejiang entrepreneurs to remain rational. "Not all companies need to research artificial intelligence, but artificial intelligence can be applied to all industries." He suggested that most companies should focus on "high-tech applications," deeply integrating cutting-edge technologies with their own businesses to create a "chemical reaction."
During the "New Quality Dialogue" session, entrepreneurs exchanged many forward-looking views on key issues such as how to face the practical challenges of international development for the new generation of Zhejiang entrepreneurs, including resource integration, win-win collaboration, and building a healthy and sustainable ecosystem.
Zhuang Yaozhong, president of the Zhejiang Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association, vice president of the Zhejiang Provincial New Generation Entrepreneurs Association, and secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Xinfengming Group Co., Ltd., believes that international development should avoid blindly following trends. The new generation of Zhejiang entrepreneurs should focus on their main business and refine it, transforming their international vision into core competitiveness. They should not only understand the international situation and technological trends and find their position in the global value chain, but also target niche areas to pursue a differentiated, high-end, and green path.
In recent years, the international economic and trade landscape has undergone profound adjustments, and trade protectionism has risen, posing new challenges to the international development of Chinese enterprises. In response, Song Lingjie, President of Ningbo Fubang Holding Group Co., Ltd., stated: "The more complex the environment, the more courageous Zhejiang private enterprises must be in venturing out. This is not only a continuation of the pioneering and enterprising spirit of Zhejiang merchants, but also an inevitable choice for enterprises to break through development bottlenecks."
"Zhejiang entrepreneurs possess a solid industrial foundation and a pioneering spirit. The key is to be adept at seizing opportunities, expanding global networks, and making friends widely," said Liu Mingde, Director of the Hong Kong SAR Government's Liaison Office in Zhejiang. He added that Hong Kong has a highly market-oriented business environment that can provide ample room for development for talented and enterprising entrepreneurs. He hopes that the new generation of Zhejiang entrepreneurs can make good use of the complementary resources between Hong Kong and the mainland, using Hong Kong as a bridge to open up global business connections and broaden their development horizons.
It is reported that this event was guided by the United Front Work Department of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the CPC, the Zhejiang Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, and the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League; hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association and the Zhejiang Provincial New Generation Entrepreneurs Association; and received academic support from the Qingshan Institute for Advanced Studies in Business at Zhejiang University.
