Over the past 10 days, precipitation in parts of southern East China, central and eastern South China has been more than 80% below the average for the same period, maintaining a mild to moderate meteorological drought. Short-term increases in open-field fires such as clearing fires, agricultural burning, and planned burning have led to sporadic localized fires. Forecasts indicate that no effective precipitation will occur in these areas over the next 6 days, the drought will persist, and the diverse and complex sources of open-field fires make the forest fire prevention and control situation severe.
Based on comprehensive assessment, it is predicted that from January 10 to 15, 2026, the forest fire risk level in parts of southern Fujian, southeastern Jiangxi, eastern and southern Guangdong, and southeastern Guangxi will remain at a high level. Therefore, an orange alert for high forest fire risk is hereby issued. Please pay close attention to changes in fire risk, implement early warning response measures, continuously strengthen fire source control, enhance emergency preparedness, and effectively respond to the current severe forest fire risk situation.
