January 12 (Xinhua) -- According to the website of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the "Wholesale Price Index of Agricultural Products 200" was 128.40 on January 12, down 0.31 points from last Friday, and the wholesale price index of "vegetable basket" products was 130.93, down 0.35 points from last Friday.
As of 2 PM today, the average wholesale price of pork in national agricultural product wholesale markets was 17.83 yuan/kg, down 0.8% from last Friday; beef was 66.12 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from last Friday; mutton was 63.50 yuan/kg, up 0.2% from last Friday; eggs were 7.61 yuan/kg, up 0.8% from last Friday; and dressed chicken was 17.67 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from last Friday. The average price of 28 key monitored vegetables was 5.51 yuan/kg, down 0.4% from last Friday; the average price of 6 key monitored fruits was 7.80 yuan/kg, down 0.9% from last Friday. Crucian carp was 19.12 yuan/kg, down 0.1% from last Friday; carp was 13.64 yuan/kg, down 0.9% from last Friday; silver carp was 10.51 yuan/kg, down 1.0% from last Friday; and large ribbonfish was 39.78 yuan/kg, down 2.7% from last Friday.
Today, among the 46 key varieties of fresh agricultural products monitored in domestic wholesale markets, the top five with the largest price increases compared to last Friday were pineapple, lettuce, winter melon, oyster mushrooms, and Chinese cabbage, with increases of 3.3%, 3.0%, 2.2%, 2.2%, and 2.0%, respectively; while the top five with the largest price decreases were zucchini, Kyoho grapes, lettuce, rapeseed, and large ribbonfish, with decreases of 3.5%, 3.4%, 3.1%, 2.8%, and 2.7%, respectively.
