According to statistics from Haikou Customs, in 2025, Haikou Customs supervised 2.644 million inbound and outbound passengers at Hainan Airport, an increase of 27.2% year-on-year; and supervised 17,907 inbound and outbound aircraft, an increase of 17.4% year-on-year.

By 2025, the island's air ports will have a total of 92 international and regional passenger routes in operation, with 37 new international and regional routes added. These include the first seventh-freedom route in China, the Sanya-Prague route, two fifth-freedom passenger routes, and four international routes that have opened domestic segments for international flights. The route network covers core regions such as Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, Europe, and Oceania, further strengthening the "air bridges" connecting the Hainan Free Trade Port to the world.

To better facilitate the opening of new routes, Haikou Customs has implemented precise measures tailored to the regional characteristics of these routes, providing one-on-one guidance to airlines, promoting the upgrading and transformation of the airport's international transfer hall, implementing a "one-time inspection" outbound customs clearance model, and leveraging technological advantages such as "pre-inspection + intelligent image review" to empower customs with precise supervision, creating a seamless customs clearance experience for passengers.
Next, Haikou Customs will continue to deepen the construction of smart customs, contributing customs strength to the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port's aviation hub with a more convenient customs clearance environment and more efficient customs supervision services.
