According to the China Railway Urumqi Group Co., Ltd., in 2025, Xinjiang's railway passenger volume reached 54.25 million, a year-on-year increase of 6.8%; freight volume reached 250 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%; and the cargo throughput at the Alashankou and Khorgos railway ports reached 32.1 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.1%. All three indicators set new historical records.
