He added that the development of the tea industry in eastern Fujian is inseparable from every tea enthusiast and every tea company. Today, the establishment of the association marks a new stage of collaborative and clustered development for Ningde's tea industry, which will surely promote a vibrant and thriving industry.
Zhang Yongning said he hopes the tea association will serve as a "navigator" for industrial upgrading, propelling the Mindong tea industry towards the high end of the value chain; a "new link" for government-enterprise interaction, effectively bridging the "last mile" of government-enterprise communication; a "glue" for enterprise collaboration, forming a cohesive force for development; a "guardian" of cultural heritage, allowing more people to understand the historical depth and cultural charm of Mindong tea; and a "bridge" for cross-strait exchanges, truly realizing "using tea as a medium to promote integration."
Ningde is a famous tea-producing area with a long history of tea production, abundant tea resources, and a profound tea culture. The earliest tea production in eastern Fujian can be traced back to the Jin Dynasty, more than 1,700 years ago.
In recent years, Ningde City has continuously deepened the implementation of the "Four Agricultures" development requirements, refined the core value of "Blessed Land of Mountains and Seas, Ningde Good Tea", and promoted the coordinated high-quality development of the city's tea industry in accordance with local conditions. It has established an ecological tea production area of 1.1571 million mu, with an annual output of nearly 148,900 tons, which coordinates the development of China's best white tea, characteristic and superior black tea, as well as green tea, oolong tea and other tea categories. It has 125 provincial-level or above leading tea enterprises, and the output value of the entire tea industry chain exceeds 35 billion yuan.

In particular, regarding cross-strait tea industry exchanges, Ningde has actively carried out activities such as exchanges on tea-making techniques, tea tourism integration experiences, and mutual visits among young tea enthusiasts, building a solid platform for promoting emotional exchange and industrial complementarity between compatriots on both sides of the strait.
The conference reviewed and approved the "Articles of Association (Draft) of Ningde Cross-Strait Tea Industry Exchange Association" and the "Internal Management System (Draft) of Ningde Cross-Strait Tea Industry Exchange Association", voted on the "Membership Fee Standards and Management Measures (Draft) of Ningde Cross-Strait Tea Industry Exchange Association", and elected the first board of directors, supervisors, standing directors, president, executive vice president, vice presidents, secretary-general, legal representative, deputy secretary-general and chairman of the board of supervisors of the new association.
Newly elected president of the Ningde Cross-Strait Tea Industry Exchange Association, Liu Guoping, said that in the future, he will work with all members to anchor a development path of "tea culture leading, tea industry supporting, and tea technology empowering," solidify the "foundation of service," making the association a trusted "home" for members; activate the "spirit of innovation," allowing the industry to radiate sustainable vitality; polish the "brand light," letting the fragrance of Ningde tea spread to the world; and build a "bridge of exchange," making government-business exchanges smoother.
