BEIJING, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- He Lifeng, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, met with former U.S. Treasury Secretary and Warburg Pincus Chairman Timothy Geithner at the Great Hall of the People on Tuesday. He stated that China is fully implementing the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and in accordance with the deployment of the 15th Five-Year Plan, is deepening the construction of a unified national market, resolutely expanding high-level opening-up, and promoting high-quality economic development. He welcomed foreign-invested enterprises and long-term capital, including Warburg Pincus, to continue expanding their investment in China and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation.
Geithner stated that he is optimistic about China's economic development prospects and that Warburg Pincus is willing to continue to deepen its presence in the Chinese market and promote enhanced US-China economic and trade cooperation.
