Changbai Mountain Self-Driving Tour Guide

For many young people, self-driving tours in Changbai Mountain are still full of competition and excitement. The Tianchi Lake in Changbai Mountain is even more famous, and Changbai Mountain is also a holy place in North Korea. Here I will share with you a detailed guide to self-driving tours in Changbai Mountain.

The holy Tianchi Lake, the endless snow-capped mountains, the rushing waterfalls, the vast forests, I have longed for Changbai Mountain, and finally took advantage of this May Day holiday to come to this paradise that I long for.

Airport sunrise

I got up at 3 o'clock and arrived at the airport at 5 o'clock. I saw the beautiful sunrise at the airport, which indicated a good mood for the day. I was looking forward to the next trip.

01 West Slope and Snowstorm

On the first day, April 28, we went to Xipo. Tianchi was not open, so we only visited the Grand Canyon.

At the foot of the west slope of the mountain, the sun is shining brightly, the tall birch forest is set against the blue sky and white clouds, and the years are peaceful.

We felt like we were the only four people in the car, even up the mountain. It was great to have the whole place to ourselves. Sitting in the car, we saw the endless snow-capped mountains. We couldn't contain our excitement and took a lot of photos. The straight road was lined with thick snow, and it was said that the snow was 3 meters deep.

West Slope Grand Canyon

Changbai Mountain Grand Canyon is more than 70 kilometers long. It was formed when volcanic ash and soil on the surface of the lava rock were washed away by river water and rain after the volcanic eruption. Beijin River flows down from the bottom of the valley, with strange rocks standing on both sides and strange scenery overlapping, like a splash-ink painting, which is beautiful beyond words.

When we were walking in the woods, the heavy snow fell on our heads without any warning. The heavy snow hit the pine trees and the path, making a rustling sound, a wonderful and strange feeling. Walking in the woods, growing old together. Here, we should warn everyone not to play with mobile phones in the woods during thunderstorms. I was very excited when I saw the heavy snow. I was taking pictures with my mobile phone, and a pink lightning struck in front of my eyes. Thank God for forgiveness. We screamed in fear and turned off the phone quickly. On the way up, the heavy snow still hit the tour bus. In the blizzard, our tour bus moved forward rapidly, surrounded by large areas of snow that had never been set foot on, which was very exciting.

02 Beipo Tianchi and Snow Mountain

On the 29th and 30th, we played in Beipo for two days because Tianchi was not open on the 29th. The continuous snow-capped mountains, rushing waterfalls, misty hot springs, clear streams, holy Tianchi, turquoise water, and the gentle and beautiful Beipo are like a splash-ink landscape painting.

In the evening, we went to eat the famous Northeastern dish, iron pot stew. Northeastern people are real, and the dishes are really generous. A big pot full of chicken, mushrooms, potatoes, ribs, eggplant, it couldn't be more delicious. The corn cakes baked in the iron pot, with a light sweetness and the fragrance of corn, are delicious.

03 Xipo Tianchi

On May 1st, we heard that Xipo Tianchi was open, so we climbed up the west slope again. After climbing 1,442 steps, we finally saw the majestic scenery of Xipo Tianchi. The blue sky was cloudless. Standing on the top of the mountain, we felt like we could see all the other mountains. The thick and long snow slope made us want to roll down from it.

The feeling of flying

In the forest at the bottom of the valley, we breathed in enough fresh air, crossed the Songhua River in one step, and saw cute little squirrels. The little squirrels were not afraid of people at all and were eating chocolate with a crunch.

The forests in Changbai Mountain are clearly stratified, with birch trees at the bottom, squirrels a little higher, maple trees in the middle, and higher still the plateau shrub layer.

Layered Forest

On the way back, I sat in the front row and saw the straight road. The trees on both sides left mottled reflections on the road, and in the middle was blue sky and white clouds, like an exquisite oil painting.

After seeing Changbai Mountain covered in silver and looking particularly charming, I look forward to seeing Changbai Mountain dressed in elegant attire. See you in summer and autumn. Keep moving forward, the journey has no end.
