Dawa Gengzha is located in Gari Village, Xiechi Tibetan Township, Baoxing County, Sichuan Province. It is also part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau with an altitude of more than 4,000 meters. I believe that many people who like to travel hope to challenge this level. The moment they reach the plateau, they will be mentally exhausted. Here I will share with you the self-driving guide to Dawa Gengzha.

I used to hear people say that mountain climbing is a meaningful thing and a test of one's physical fitness, but I dismissed it and thought that mountain climbing was not difficult at all. I have been to mountains with an altitude of 3,000 or 4,000 meters, so it should be nothing to be proud of.
A few days ago, I don't know where the impulse came from, I carried my schoolbag and took my hiking sticks and went to Dawa Gengzha. Dawa Gengzha is located in Gari Village, Xieqi Tibetan Township, Baoxing County, Sichuan Province. Dawa Gengzha (in Jiarong Tibetan, meaning "beautiful sacred mountain") is about 3,900 meters above sea level and covers an area of nearly 200 square kilometers. It belongs to the Qionglai Mountains, with high terrain in the north and low terrain in the south. It is said that Dawa Gengzha is the youngest peak of the Siguniang Mountain, the queen of Sichuan Mountains.
When I first arrived at the foot of the mountain, the enthusiastic Tibetan villagers told me that there was a lot of snow on the top of the mountain and I must keep warm. Although I was very grateful, I didn't think it was that exaggerated. So I started to climb up along the road. There were scattered gravels along the way. I decisively took a photo under a big rock.

I walked for more than 3 hours along the way. Due to physical problems, I needed to replenish my energy, so I ate my quick-heating meal under the gravel on the roadside, which also helped to reduce the weight of my backpack.
In order to speed up my climb up the mountain, I planned to take shortcuts in some places. Some slopes can be walked on. Although they are shortcuts, they are still very physically demanding and I will be exhausted after walking them once.
It was already 5pm, and I had only walked 10km. Due to physical reasons, I had to rest on the mountainside. I happened to see a villager sitting on the side of the road looking into the distance, and I unconsciously picked up my camera to take a picture.

After getting ready, I continued to move forward. Thinking that there were still 10 kilometers ahead, I felt a little anxious. As the altitude became higher and higher, the temperature became lower and lower. I began to wear thick clothes and a woolen hat and gloves. The temperature would drop by 0.6 degrees for every 100 meters increase in altitude. The temperature was now 4 degrees. It was getting dark. After crossing the snow boundary, I felt obviously exhausted. I had to rest for a while after walking for more than ten minutes. It was already 9 o'clock in the evening and I was still 2 hours away from the finish line. It might be because it was dark. My mood became more and more complicated and my heart became more and more scared. Every step I took felt like torture. Every step I took became heavier and heavier. It was as if there was a big stone tied to my heart and I couldn't breathe at all. I couldn't see the road ahead clearly. I was hungry and cold, and I was struggling in my heart about how long I could hold on. But I kept moving forward, although my pace was getting slower and slower.
At 10:30 in the evening, I seemed to see the dawn, and I saw the camp, but it was not the camp I wanted to go to. The camp I wanted to go to was at the top of the mountain, but not far away. I smiled at the road ahead and felt that I was getting closer and closer to victory.

But the road ahead was becoming more and more difficult to walk on. On the 20-centimeter snow, I felt I couldn’t move my legs. I wanted to lie down in the snow a thousand times. Suddenly, a tall and handsome Tibetan guy came up to me and told me to hold on, we would be there soon. You can hear the voice of someone in front of you, come on, don’t be discouraged, there is hot water and hot pot waiting for you ahead. So I persisted and finally reached the top of the mountain.
This hike is very meaningful to me. I also experienced the sense of accomplishment and pride that others talked about. I challenged myself, which made me fall in love with it. Now I will share the night sky and sunrise of Dawa Gengza at night. It is so beautiful. I feel that everything is worth it.
