On January 7, 2025, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck Dingri County, Tibet, affecting multiple counties and causing significant damage. This film chronicles the first year after the earthquake, divided into three chapters: rescue, reconstruction, and rebirth, showcasing the complete process over the past year.
Over the past year, the central government urgently allocated supplies and funds, and provinces and municipalities aiding Tibet, along with centrally-administered state-owned enterprises, responded swiftly. Technology, manpower, and resources were efficiently channeled to the disaster area. The Tibet Autonomous Region and Shigatse City coordinated efforts to establish a systematic rescue and reconstruction mechanism, ultimately achieving a reconstruction speed of "being affected by the disaster and moving back into the city within the same year." Through true footage and personal stories, the film records the process of protecting lives and rebuilding homes, showcasing the resilience and hope of the Tibetan people as they move towards a new life after the disaster.
