Recently, the Guangxi Overseas Friendship Association held a symposium in Shenzhen entitled "Linking the Greater Bay Area and Working Together for Development," where Guangxi entrepreneurs connected with the Greater Bay Area. More than 60 organizations, including chambers of commerce and associations from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Chinese-funded enterprises, and well-known high-tech companies, were invited to attend.
Tan Pichuang, Standing Committee Member of the CPC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department, on behalf of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Party Committee and Government, expressed gratitude to entrepreneurs from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for their long-term concern and support for Guangxi's high-quality development. Tan Pichuang stated that the purpose of this symposium was to encourage Greater Bay Area entrepreneurs to continue working with Guangxi to build a high ground for artificial intelligence cooperation oriented towards ASEAN, precisely align with the development of ten modern pillar industries such as non-ferrous metals, and achieve pragmatic cooperation and mutual benefit in jointly building an important strategic hinterland for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The Guangxi Overseas Friendship Association will, as always, play its role as a bridge and link, actively build a platform for exchange and cooperation, provide high-quality services for Greater Bay Area enterprises investing and developing in Guangxi, and provide solid guarantees for project cooperation implementation. Relevant officials from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Parks Office and Big Data Development Bureau gave special presentations at the meeting, and participating entrepreneurs exchanged views and offered suggestions on cooperation and development between Guangxi and the Greater Bay Area.
Following the symposium, the Guangxi Overseas Friendship Association also hosted a New Year reception for entrepreneurs from the Greater Bay Area and Guangxi natives from Hong Kong and Macao, themed "Connecting with Hometown and Celebrating the New Year." Representatives from the Guangxi Overseas Friendship Association and overseas friendship associations in various prefecture-level cities, members of the CPPCC from Hong Kong and Macao in the autonomous region and prefecture-level cities, directors of the Overseas Friendship Association, and other Hong Kong and Macao representatives, as well as heads of relevant chambers of commerce and enterprises in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, attended the meeting.
