The Overseas Chinese Affairs Office has always taken serving overseas Chinese as its mission, continuously optimizing service mechanisms and safeguarding their rights and interests. In the new year, it is hoped that these heartwarming packages, delivered across mountains and seas, will bring the festive spirit and strength of their hometown to overseas Chinese, allowing them to spend a warm and peaceful Spring Festival even in foreign lands. At the same time, it is also hoped that overseas Chinese will continue to play a bridging role, actively promoting Shanxi and contributing to the high-quality development of their hometown.
This batch of "New Year's Warmth Packages" contains Spring Festival couplets, the character "福" (good fortune), porcelain plates, and desk calendars—gifts imbued with Shanxi cultural characteristics. The desk calendar, themed "Shanxi Overseas Chinese Charm," features the customs and traditions of Shanxi's overseas Chinese communities on the first page, while the 11 inner pages correspond to scenic spots in each of the province's 11 cities, accompanied by bookmarks with ancient poems, creating a harmonious blend of poetry and landscape that showcases the rich cultural heritage of Shanxi. The Shanxi intangible cultural heritage porcelain plates feature designs from iconic landmarks such as the Yungang Grottoes, Pingyao Ancient City, Wutai Mountain, and Yingxian Wooden Pagoda, using the beauty of craftsmanship to convey a profound history. The entire warmth package is imbued with the charm of traditional New Year customs while incorporating unique Shanxi cultural elements, expressing the deep affection of the hometown for its overseas compatriots.
It is understood that these "New Year's Warmth Packages" will be sent to countries such as the UK, Angola, and Guinea, and are expected to reach overseas Chinese before the Spring Festival, allowing them to feel the deep affection and best wishes from their motherland. (End)
