The Pingcheng District Market Supervision Administration has initiated an investigation into the store's suspected illegal use of a trademark that has caused adverse effects.

In November 2025, the logos of "People's Cafes" in many parts of China sparked controversy. Some consumers felt that the word "People" had strong public attributes and political connotations, and its use in commercial cafe logos felt abrupt and uncomfortable.
According to reports, the parent company of "People's Cafe" is Yaochao (Shanghai) Cultural Communication Co., Ltd. Other reports indicate that the company has applied for the "People's Cafe" trademark multiple times, all of which were rejected. Subsequently, Yaochao People's Cafe issued a statement saying that it will strictly adhere to the registered trademark regulations in all scenarios. (End)
